When I finally sat down to write my most recent book, Create Your Own Table: A Guide to Discover Your Purpose, I felt like I was already behind before I even began.
On February 3rd, while flipping through my journal, I came across a note from July 2024. In it, I had written down two ambitious goals, ones that would stretch me beyond my comfort zone. The first was to complete and launch my online program by August 1st, 2024. The second? To start writing a book addressing my clients’ biggest pain points on February 1st, 2025.
Many years ago, I made a commitment to myself: if I set a goal, I follow through. No one else needs to know what it is, but I do, and that’s enough.
By day two of writing, I had already hit approximately 30,000 words, and I thought, Wait a second. This is a story in itself.
Truthfully, I’ve never been a fan of writing. I find the process painfully isolating, and dragging thoughts out of my brain can feel like a struggle. But once I start talking? I don’t stop. (Just ask my childhood teachers—they made sure to note it on every single report card!)
Long story short, I finished my book and had it to my editor in 20 days, by February 24th. The moment I realized I could actually get it done, I secured time with my editor because I knew the editing phase would be the most time-consuming part.
Since I’m always looking to share valuable insights, I decided to document my process. I filmed a video for my YouTube channel and created an e-book,
The Quick Author Formula, How To Write A Book In Weeks, Not Years to help others do the same. If you’re interested in learning more, be sure to check out the video or download the e-book.
As always, I’m here to serve and provide as much value as I can. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey!
In Love & Light,
Heather
