A Starting Point When the Path Forward Feels Unclear
There comes a moment when the life you’ve built no longer feels like it fits.
You may have done everything you were “supposed” to do—built a career, supported others, stayed committed and capable—yet still feel a quiet pull toward something more meaningful, more aligned, more yours.
Create Your Own Table: A Guide to Discovering Your Future was written for that moment.
This book is not about reinventing yourself overnight or following someone else’s blueprint for success. It’s about creating clarity—gently and honestly—so you can understand where you are, what no longer serves you, and what may be asking to emerge next.
Through lived experience, reflective guidance, and practical insight, Heather Dolland Tamam invites you to pause, listen, and reconnect with your inner knowing. Rather than waiting for permission, this book encourages you to recognize your own authority and begin shaping a future that reflects who you are now—not who you once needed to be.
This book is often the first step in a broader journey of self-discovery and aligned action. For many readers, it opens the door to deeper emotional readiness, renewed confidence, and the courage to explore what’s next—at their own pace.
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
You just need a place to begin.

I love self help books because I know that there is always a way to do things that can be different than how I am doing them. Especially if I need to change my direction. I expected this to be a dry and typical self help book. What I read was anything but. Ms. Dolland Tamam drew me in almost immediately with “Inspiration often comes from unexpected places”. I am a big believer in thinking out of the box, but unfortunately when you lose a job, or go through a divorce, or experience a death you can’t always see your way out, and this book brings you to the place where you can.

This book is a powerful and inspiring call to women who find themselves stuck in the cycle of meeting everyone else’s expectations, while neglecting their own dreams and desires. With heartfelt honesty and lived wisdom, Heather Dolland Tamam speaks directly to women who are successful on paper but feel a deep, unfulfilled yearning for more meaning in their lives. Rather than encouraging readers to fit into someone else’s vision of success, the author offers a refreshing and liberating approach: it’s time to build your own table.

This book is personal and authentic, filled with seeds of wisdom Heather has cultivated through her own experiences—both her victories and her failures. Reading it feels like having an intimate conversation with Heather herself. She encourages you to pause, reflect, and ask yourself questions you may never have considered before. For me, this book brought clarity to a vision that had long felt blurry. I always knew I had something valuable to offer, but I struggled to pinpoint my next steps. Heather’s words guided me toward direction and focus.
