Someone You Love Has a Story You May Never Have Heard
You may know their favorite meal, their familiar laugh, or the advice they always give. But do you know the experiences that shaped them? The dreams they once held? The lessons they hope you’ll carry forward?
Even with the people closest to us, there is often so much left to discover. Writing gives us a way to share those parts of ourselves, and preserve them for the people we love.
How Writing Changed My Life:
When I wrote Pivot: Because Life Doesn’t Always Go As Planned, I wanted to share my experiences navigating unexpected changes. What I didn’t anticipate was how much writing that book would change my own life’s trajectory.
Putting my story into words helped me recognize meaning in experiences I hadn’t fully understood. My purpose became clearer. I began to see how what I had lived could help someone else move forward.
That book became a starting point for possibilities I hadn’t imagined.
Now, as a five-time author, I see writing as one of the greatest gifts of my life. It has helped me understand my journey, connect with others, and create work rooted in what matters to me.
I want to help others discover what putting their own experiences into words can mean for them.
A Space To Preserve What Matters:
That desire inspired me to curate Letters They’ll Treasure Forever, a Story Keeper Retreat with Allenberry Resort & Spa.
From November 6–8, 2026, in Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania, we’ll step away from everyday demands and make room for reflection, memories, and the words we want our loved ones to have.
Perhaps you want to tell your child how proud you are of them. Share a childhood memory with your grandchild. Thank a sibling for something you’ve never forgotten. Or tell your partner what your life together has meant to you.
Through guided writing sessions and one-on-one coaching with me, you’ll receive support in finding those words. My intention is to create a peaceful experience where you can enjoy writing without the pressure of figuring it all out alone.
After the retreat, your letters will be professionally prepared and printed in a keepsake book, mailed directly to you. Additional copies will be available to order for family members and loved ones.
Imagine someone opening that book years from now and finding your encouragement, your memories, and your love waiting on the page.
A Meaningful Gift For Someone You Love:
If this retreat doesn’t feel like the right experience for you, perhaps someone comes to mind who would appreciate it.
A parent with memories you’ve always wanted to hear. A friend entering a new chapter. A partner who has often said, “One day, I should write some of this down.”
Gifting them this experience offers time, encouragement, and support to begin. It also creates the possibility of something their loved ones can treasure for generations.
You don’t need to have written a book or consider yourself a writer to have something meaningful to share.
Sometimes, the place to begin is simply with someone you love and something you want them to know.
